The Environmental Club is an online environmental care club which aims to educate people
about various issues on the environment. The website contains information which is useful for people globally. Our motto is 'For Sustainable Living and Development'.

The Website has been designed and is maintained by Muhammad A. Shaban, an environmental activist based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is also an author of the book on environment titled 'THE QUEST For a Greener, Cleaner, Better & Peaceful World'.

The website was launched in 2001 in a freeserver and is on the internet for more than 6 years now, it has now been transferred to a paid domain, http://www.environmental-club.org .
It appears in top search engines as well as a link in many websites.

Features of the website: The site contains the following pages: Main Page, About, Environmental Links, Chat, Worldwide Environmental Directory, Religions and Environment, Articles on Environment, Environmental Careers, Environmental News, Donate and Contact.

Recently, we added two new categories being Environmental Centres which includes Environmental Societies, Environmental Clubs, Environmental Organizations & Environmental Companies and Worldwide Environmental Media which includes Environmental Books, Environmental Magazines, Environmental Newsletters, Environmental Journals, Environmental Television & Programmes, Environmental Radio & Programmes, Environmental Forums, Environmental Blogs, Environmental Podcasts, and Environmental Newspapers.

The sole aim of adding these new pages is to make the website of ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB the central website for all environmental information around the world.

The idea of the flash presentation on the main page came from the blurb of the environmental book, THE QUEST For a Greener, Cleaner, Better & Peaceful World.
